Mrs Peggy Jackson an incumbent in Southwark Diocese * (UK) has graced the Winter 2009 newsletter of GRAS (that inclusive lot who want us out at all costs) with many words about the admission of women to the episcopate. You could see her love towards those Christians who do not share her views shining out from every phrase. I feel sad that I have to give a mention of this in my blog, but if there is anyone out there who doubts the real intentions of these people then read on. You will find out the way GRAS intends to kill us and/or kick us out.
I see on page 7 of the same newsletter that at their last AGM held in Soho they had about 20 members in attendance. Can these people count? I can understand one saying about 3000 but what is "about twenty", is it 13? Count they might not be able to, numbers they do not have, but like all empty vessels they make a lot of sound, or is it noise?
Anyway judge for yourself 'Canon' Peggy’s loving words from the last paragraph of her contribution.

“It is one thing to make special arrangements for those around whom the CofE has changed its mind; it is quite another to split the CofE into ‘special’ divisions accommodated at all levels, specifically to foster and accommodate a new generation of people who wish to make a conscientious choice from the outset, never to engage with the mainstream ministry of the church. No structural provision should be made for such people, beyond any bishop’s normal pastoral concern for the variety of individual feelings and circumstances among serving clergy. New individuals with conscientious difficulties over women’s ministry will simply have to make personal decisions and individual choices, to find accommodation as best they can – just as many already have to do over a host of other current issues, some very uncomfortable, where people find themselves representative of a view which is not that sanctioned by the ‘church’ as a whole, and upheld through Synod and Parliament.”
* Archbishop Barry has just nominated (on 2 February) loving Peggy as Archdeacon. Need I say more?

Oh what joy! Just when we thought that Archbishop Bazzer could do no more damage he appoints a "strategic thinker" (CinW website). Not content with running the Church in Wales into the ground (under his leadership only 1.3% of Wales attend an Anglican service on a Sunday) he adds Madam Archdeacon Peggy to his management team. Can't wait for more of the management guff we get from His Grace's office, e.g. "Facilitated organic optimization" and "Strategic vectorization policies". Strange how there is no mention of God in any of these management documents?!
