Lent I saw a surge in attendance starting from the Early Mass and keeping up to our Lenten evening special called “The five o’clock Church.”
It was good to see new faces and welcome them to St John’s. I hope and pray that this upward trend will keep up for the whole duration of Lent and beyond.
David Candlin got together a nice group at the Vicarage for an afternoon about George Gershwin and the event was enjoyed by all those who attended. Sally and Clare prepared refreshments for all participants.
Today the year 6 of Sevenoaks Community Primary School came to church where half had the Stations of the Cross while the other half discussed important topics in the hall about how Christians can engage in making this world a better place. Thanks for Jackie, Carol, Carol and Jim who led the groups in the hall and to the pupils for being great as ever.
The March edition of the Magazine was published yesterday and you can view a copy of it here
