Denis Moriarty

Last night we welcomed Mr Denis Moriarty. Denis gave us an illustrated lecture called: “John Betjeman: first and last loves of architecture.”
Fifty people came to the hall for the lecture and were treated to wine and nibbles, prepared by our organist and his team, as all awaited for the lecture to commence.
The lecture was a feast in itself. Denis is indeed a very capable man who spoke about the life of John Betjeman with constant reference to his passion for architecture. The speaker also pointed out Betjeman’s love for Anglo-Catholicism.
A great thank you to Denis for such a splendid evening which also contributed towards the funds for new choir robes.
