Corpus Christi in Jerusalem

The solemnity of Corpus Christi is kept today in the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. The celebrations started last evening with the First Vespers. They continued with solemn Compline and a night vigil with a procession without the Blessed Sacrament.
This morning after Lauds the Patriarch of Jerusalem was received and he celebrated a Pontifical Mass with the Procession of the Most Blessed Sacrament. The procession goes round the Sepulchre and the stone of unction for three times. After the third round benediction is given from in front of the Sepulchre, from the altar of S Mary of Magdala and from the chapel of the Most Blessed Sacrament.
The celebrations came to an end this evening with the second Vespers of the feast.
Please do keep the Christians of the Holy Land in your prayers.
