Our Lady of the Rosary

Today the feast instituted by St Pius V to commemorate the Christian Victory at the battle of Lepanto, a victory which secured the stability of Christendom up to our times. St Pius V had a vision of this victory as he was praying the Rosary; and so on this day of Victory he established the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.
The Rosary is an ancient, beautiful, and powerful prayer of devotion to God through devotion to Mary by means of a series of prayers and meditations on the life of Jesus and Mary. In it we find all that life offers: pains and joys, but also always the hope that only a loving, protecting, saving Father can truly give. The Rosary is a prayer of hope. Pray it!
