An early Christmas present

An early Christmas present for St John's came in the form of Caroline Benyon's fourth window from a set of five. This beautiful window depicts Pentecost and was given by the congregation as a memorial of the Sesquicentenary year which was celebrated in 2008. It will be dedicated on Christmas Day. You can see the work being carried out in the pictures below.
We also had the children's Christmas Party and Carol singing today organised by John and Jackie. Well done to them and the kids who braved some difficult conditions to take part. They also brought much joy as they sang Christmas Carols in front of the Vicarage crib. While this was taking place, Mary-Clare was busy preparing and printing all the Christmas services booklets.
