Epiphany MMX

Yesterday we celebrated Epiphany. The Sung Mass started with the blessing of the Epiphany House. After the Gospel the date of Easter and other solemnities was solemnly proclaimed and after the notices the chalk was blessed for people to write next to their walls the inscription 20 + C + M + B + 10. As you know these are the three names of the Magi but also means Christus mansionem benedicat, may God bless this house. This is not only a wonderful sacramental but an evangelistic opportunity. People will ask what the writings all about, what a great privilege to engage with them about our Christian faith.
After Mass the servers from secondary school upwards came round to the Clergy House for a meal to celebrate Epiphany. You will observe our replete and jolly MC.
