It was a joyful day today for St John’s; it was the first day of ministry of Fr James in our Parish. Quite rightly Fr James started his work by praying the Divine Office and joining in the celebration of Mass. After Mass the school children filled the Church with their joy as they came to worship. Fr James and Chad were introduced to the pupils; Fr James will serve as their chaplain in the next academic year.
This afternoon we prayed the First Vespers of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus as we reach the conclusion of the Year of Priests. Please pray for James and Chad and for all those preparing for the Sacred Priesthood. Please pray for Holy Priests shaped according the divine heart of Jesus. Please, please pray that God will call more generous and young men to become holy and courageous priests.
