Assumption of Our Lady

The High Altar

Both of today's masses were well attended. The 8 o'clock was celebrated at the altar of Our Lady of Walsingham and the Sung Mass with joy and gusto as usual. Alas the weather caused the postponement of drinks at the Curate's House, until next week (weather allowing), but nonetheless Our Lady's great feast was kept heartily. Thanks go to Fr Barry for celebrating and preaching for us again, and to Frances for adorning Our Lady of Greatness for this special day.

Our Lady of Greatness

After a wonderful lunch with parishioners (including Mrs Beeton's Lemon Tart - a culinary triumph and delight), the hospital visit, along with Holy Communion for those who had requested it, the day ended (...he says in hope, there still being a number of hours left in it!) with Vespers and the rearranging of the Church back to green for Ordinary Time.

Our Lady of Walsingham

This week, in Fr Ivan's absence, there are Masses at the following times: Monday at 10am, Wednesday at 9.30am, and Thursday at 9.30am. Holy Communion will be distributed in place of other Masses.

Thanks to Frances, too, for these photos.
