O King whom all the peoples desire, you are the cornerstone which makes all one. O come and save man whom you made from clay.

The real and only king of the chosen people of old and of his new people is fast approaching. All nations await him and he becomes their desire. It is again language of passion used here, the lover is full of desire to meet Christ the beloved. In Christ and him alone can we be satisfied and be made one in an eternal embrace of love were all our desires are fulfilled. Jesus can do this as he is the cornerstone, the stone once rejected by the builders, those who had and still have no room for him. God has chosen that rejected stone to be the cornerstone of the new creation and the restoration of this one.
The restoration of fallen humanity takes our thoughts to the original bliss in which God placed man. Man created by God, the perfect artist, who modelled man in clay and breathed on it. However, as all things are made through him, than even man is made through Christ and in him alone can he find salvation. This fallen man, falls in love with Christ and today calls upon him to come and bring him the much needed salvation.
