O Virgin of virgins, how shall this be? For neither before thee was any like thee, nor shall there be after. Daughters of Jerusalem, why marvel ye at me? The thing which ye behold is a divine mystery.
All the eyes are upon you today, heavenly Mother, in wonder and awe. How is this that a Virgin gives birth without losing her virginity before, during or after birth? It is like the burning bush yet not consumed, it is a wonder of restoration of humanity because of your joyful obedience! It is this obedience that draws us to kneel in humility in front of the wonder of God’s work. In that humility tonight we shall see greater things. How small is our heart to contain love towards this mystery! Intercede for us O Virgin Mother and enable us to love God as you do.
