The Pilgrims write:
Mass at Aylesford Priory before breakfast and lunch at the Black Horse at Thurnham have provided us with spiritual and physical refreshment and the miles have passed quickly by. Yesterday our path took us northwards to cross the Medway in sight of Rochester, but today we have moved steadily eastwards keeping to the Pilgrims' Way. We have had glorious weather and views all day and, despite a few blisters, remain in good heart. Charles George joined us for the day so, with a man of law in the party, we are even more like Chaucer's pilgrims!
