Triduum Sacrum

We have embarked upon the most holy hours of the whole Christian Year in union with the Church the world over. From Monday to Wednesday in Holy Week we had various opportunities for preperation. Fr Mark and I enjoyed especially the Chrism Mass when around John our bishop we renewed our priestly vows.

The day started early with the flower ladies decorating the alatr of repose. After the Office of Readings and Lauds a lot of preperation work was done, especially with Fr Mark getting everything ready for our school to keep their prayer stations.

Stuart, our Parish Administrator was busy in the afternoon preparing pew sheets and intercession lists.

At 7pm we had a rehearsal and just after 8pm we started the Triduum. Our preacher tonight was Fr Barry Compton. His sermon provided us with food for thought.

The Blessed Sacrament is now on the altar of repose and as I write the Watch is taking place. It will last all through the night.

More updates soon.
