Our Parochial Church Council met today at 8pm. The meeting started with Mass. We went through a lot of items tonight and approved works that need to be undertaken shortly. The servers presented their startegy in raising funds for new cassocks and cottas. The church building was discussed, particularly our new windows. We spoke about our Year of Mission and the next meeting will be totally dedicated to that. However, of utmost significance was a resolution, passed unanimously, asking the Council of Forward in Faith to register us as a Forward in Faith Parish. This move is consistent with the life and practice of St John's in the last 150 years. This shows that our Parish is not afraid of the threats thrown at us by the liberal agenda in the Church of England, but shows that we are resolute to move on - Forward in Faith.
