Today we welcomed a group of young men who are exploring their vocation to the Sacred Priesthood. The day was organised by the FiF Vocations Group.
The participants found a cup of coffee to welcome them and went to church for a period of silence. The Bishop of Richborough celebrated the Holy Sacrifice and gave us a wonderful reflection on the Gospel of the day: The Parable of the Loving Father and his two sons.
After a very good lunch provided for us by Jez and Claire (big thankyou to both) we were addressed by Fr John Brownsell and went back to church for excellent meditations by Fr Bill Scott. The day ended with Benediction followed by tea and cakes.
It is very encouraging to meet a good number of people who still offer themselves to the Church for Sacred Ministry. Please do keep them in your prayers.
On our part we are very grateful that they chose St John's as their venue.
