Today at Ain Karem Christians have come together at the church of the Nativity of St John the Baptist. Fr Artemis OFM, the Vicar of the Custos, led the celebration of High Mass. This was followed by a procession to the place of the Nativity within the church where the passage of the Gospel of the birth of St John was proclaimed. This was followed by the chant of the Benedictus and the Te Deum.
