A very happy feast of the Assumption to all - here is a wonderful piece in honour of Our Lady by the French 17th century composer, Marc-Antoine Charpentier. The performance is by Les Concert des Nations directed by the splendid Jordi Savall whose recordings of early music are, quite simply, the finest available. I have tried to find a translation of the text of piece, but no avail.
