Full day of preparations for the Festival today. As you can see from these pics cleaning and flower displays are now in place. The Shrine of St John looks magnificent.
A very full day indeed, Lauds, Mass, Fr Mark on home communions and Michael and I to the hospital. David, who we have been praying for is back in Sevenoaks hospital after surgery in Kent & Sussex – thanks be to God, David now is feeling and looks much better. We had time to speak to members of staff who are so welcoming of our Parish ministry there.
Stuart was here to do and print the Pew Sheet, intercession lists are ready also. Adoration this afternoon was a very welcome space; prayers said for many who asked and for other intentions, one of them being the readers of this blog. It was nice to have John back for Sacred Space after his well deserved holiday.
After Benediction Fr Mark and I spent some time placing final touches on all our altars.
A final meeting later on tonight will bring this day to a close. Many are looking forward to Sunday – it will be a good day I am sure. I will update regularly.
