The statue of St Paul that will be carried in procession today

The 10th day of February is sacred for all Maltese people. It is a national holiday that gives a sense of identity to all people of the islands. Today they celebrate with joy and thanksgiving the glorious shipwreck that brought to the islands the Apostle of the Gentiles, the Father in Faith of all people of Malta: St Paul the Apostle.
Sacred are the words of Chapter 28 verse 1 of the Acts of the Holy Apostles. They are embedded in the heart of every Maltese. It is this faith brought by Paul that has shaped the nation and gave identity. To St Paul have the people of the islands turned in every hour of need during the last 2000 years and he has always stood by them. Please do pray for the people of Malta as today they gather around St Paul to renew the commitment of Faith they have received from his hands. Remember Paul their Archbishop and Edward their President.
