Candlemass

Upholding the Anglican Patrimony today we celebrated Candlemass. Good attendance at both Masses. At the Sung Mass the choir offered us a setting by John Hendry (our organist). All are very grateful for the hard work of the choir in enriching the celebration with this joyful setting. Thanks for all those who worked to make Candlemass such an uplifting event. The candles of St Blaise were also blessed in readiness for Wednesday.
This afternoon I had the sad duty of laying to rest the ashes of Alison, a member of our congregation, at Greatness Cemetery. Her husband, lovely girls and parents were present as also other relatives and friends. May she rest in peace and may her family find consolation in him who is the resurrection and the life.
The day came to an end with the usual visit to Sevenoaks Hospital.
